2B started with an in-depth case study of a mundane building in the Burbank and Glendale area. The study focused on how the structure of the building influenced its form and function. And expensive set of as-built drawings were created. The drawings provided a greater understanding the building material and the technique used. Using the same building material as the case study new site less abstract variants were created. The variants came from the form material and function of the case study pushed further to create entirely new structure. A formal analysis of a new case study was done. The circulation, programmatic lay out, spatial hierarchy among over qualities of the SEOUL National University Museum of Art by Rem Koolhaas After the study a gallery space was designed in Down Town Los Angeles using the structure of the first case study and the formal quality of the second case study.
